"Buzz"
Buzz started his show career with a specialty Best in Match at the COSSA specialty weekend in February of 2005. Then, at the 2005 ASSA National in Collinsville, IL, Buzz placed second in the 6-9 month AOAC class under respected breeder judge, Mr. Tom Coen. By summer's end, Buzz was minored out, having garnered 9 points with 2 BOB wins over specials, all owner handled.
At the 2006 ASSA National in Virginia Beach, Buzz won the quality packed Open Black class, handled beautifully by Mark Hersman (Westar).
Then, Memorial Day weekend, Buzz was WD/BOW at the CSSC specialty for a 4pt major, which was followed the next day by an all-breed 3 pt. major to finish!
Shortly after, Buzz headed to Canada, where he quickly got his Canadian CH in one weekend, with two BOBs over Specials and Herding Group First and Second placements, handled expertly by Shelley McHugh Boumans and Kim Wendling.
Buzz was bred by Sharon Sampson of Icon Shelties, who has been a wonderfully supportive and cherished friend. Thank you Sharon, for allowing Buzz to brighten my life!
Buzz is OFA Good, Elbows Normal, CERF Normal, Thyroid (MSU) Normal and vWD clear, 15 1/4 inches.
